High levels of TCE Remediated at Historic Chemical Works

In-Situ Remediation of DNAPL Achieves Remedial Goals.
Once considered one of the most environmentally contaminated sites in the UK, REGENESIS worked collaboratively with remediation contractor Vertase FLI to design and deliver a suitable and pragmatic in situ groundwater solution in the context of the wider remediation works and redevelopment of the site.
The combined enhanced reductive dechlorination (ERD) and in situ chemical reduction (ISCR) treatment, through the application of 3-D Microemulsion (3DME)® and S-MicroZVI® via direct push injections, rapidly and dramatically reduced the TCE plume, exceeded the remedial goal, allowing the site redevelopment to continue apace.
