I play high limits. Avg bet is $500 per hand- I NEVER EVER double on a dealers two. I waive my 4 or 5s, and 6s, against a dealers 2-3-4-5 or a 6.

So if you’re talking basic strategy, his strategy is worse..which will mean a higher house edge. 2 against 2 should hit. 2 against 3 should hit. The only thing to change this is the number of face cards value cards that have been come out/not come out.

I see your point of basic strategy, I have been playing the game for 13 years now. You would be surprised to know that i am successful with this strategy. Sometimes it works against you, but just like following the book. By waving those hands,‘you are letting the dealer hit first.
