Looking at the Hand at 19:13, if your friend hadn't joined, you would have been dealt an 8, and the Dealer would be showing a 4. (with the 5 underneath) You would have hit your 8 for a 17 (9 was the next card) and stayed. Dealer would flip showing the 5 to make 9, and then hit for the other 9 to get 18, meaning you would have lost the hand it your friend hadn't jumped in.

@@ckazanes The cards are dealt in this order: 6H, 4S, 2H, 5S, 9S, 9C (Dealer's Down card), 9H (Matt's Face Down Double), and finally 8C. So take out the second hand, it gets dealt 6H and 2H to Matt, 4S and 5S to dealer. the next card is the 9S, which Matt would take. Since you stand on 17 and up, they would stand there. Dealer flips to show the 9 total (4S and 5S) the next card in the order is the 9C, giving the dealer 18, and the win.

My best run ever came on a cruise with NCL. It was a ten day cruise to the Caribbean, went to Jamaica, Honduras, Cayman Islands, Belize and Mexico. For five straight days I was winning. Now I do lower limit, I think the highest my bet got was $8.88, but mostly I was betting 50 cents to $1.50 a spin. Can't remember exact amounts, but I ended each day up at least $150-$200. By the end of the virtue day, I had paid for my cruise. Over the next few, I had a couple bad days, but one more great one and wound up getting paid about $500 to take that cruise. And that's including everything. Cruise, port fees, taxes, tip, souvenirs, on shore food and entertainment.

This was not the proper order the cards were dealt. Player 1 card, Player 2 card, Dealer card, Player 1 card, Player 2 card, Dealer Card. The first round of cards were 6, 4, 2. Dealer shows the 2. The correct order: 6,4, 2, 5, 9, 9, 9, 8. dealt. Pay close attention to the the third card dealt...think magic trick is happening.
