We create together with Mahle Motrosport these nice Pistons.

Most of the tools I use are from Würth and the measuring equipment is from Mitutoyo.

Excellent job I had a Pro Drive from December 99 and I had problems twice in the pistons ... Probably if you still had the car, send the engine to be repaired in Subi Performance Congratulations Greetings from Portugal

I currently run a 2.15 stroker ej20 with closed deck inserts, 14mm head studs and v3 JDM oem heads/cam shafts... currently 484bhp... do you think I would benefit from more boost (currently 1.7bar) or more aggressive cams/ porting the heads? Another excellent video!!

ich sage es mal so, die 250 PS halte ich für pure Illusion, selbst 200 PS werden äusserst schwierig zu erreichen sein wenn es auch nur halbwegs zulassungsfähig sein soll.

Ist das wirklich so schwierig aus 2,5 Liter über 200 PS zu erreichen? Das ist dann echt traurig. Ich kenne mich mit Subaru Motoren nicht wirklich aus, komme aus dem Honda-Lager.

Why is it that the EJ25 engine has a main bearing journal that has no pressurized lubrication? And is that a common failure in this engine? When I realized that it really turned me away from this engine. Just makes no sense to me at all.

Here is what I do not understand. The block is assembled dry. Then the main bearings are measured and line honed to specification. After honing is finished, the block is split and all the rubber washers and silicon is then applied to the case half. The entire assembly is then bolted and torqued down. My issue and question is......wouldn't the application of silicon increase the size of the main bearings and potentially cause main bearing failure.

Hi... Can you discuss your opinion on rev limit for sport/semi race driving condition for each subaru engine combination? Like ej20 recommended rev limit? 8000-9000rpm? Ej22 75mm stroke - 99mm bore rev limit? Ej21 79mm stroke - 92mm bore rev limit? Ej25 79mm stroke - 99mm bore rev limit? Ej27 83mm stroke - 100mm bore rev limit? Ejxx 83mm stroke - 92mm bore rev limit and so on? Provided all those engine configuration have suitable bearing clearance, suitable oil pump size, suitable camshaft for the rev range and certainly suitable turbo to follow...

@@wipers7723 no, using a variable valve lift, a variable valve time and variable intake lenght systems. Opening valves low lift, a long intake and opening the valves later you Will have a good low end torque, and with a big lift valve opening, an early valve opening and a short lenght admition runner you improve high end horsepower. With a variable in all moment system you Will have a flat torque delivery and the best horsepower. Sorry my English isnt good.

I am always deeply impressed with the quality of your tools in your spotless shop. Makes my rag-tag assemblage of "tools" look pretty sad. However, that power ring-gap filer looks like it is straight out of Harbor Freight. Don't the Germans make a better-quality tool? Maybe you need a Patreon account: I'll kick in a few USD.

New to your channel and loving watching your engine builds. :) They're amazing! Excuse my ignorance as I've never built a performance engine before but is there a reason you don't put the piston rings on the pistons before weighing them? Surely this would give you better accuracy for balancing?

Wow! You are doing a great job and using the same materials we use on motorcycle bikes! I'm impressed! One suggestion: you should always use montage fet or installation greas on steel bolts inside alluminum cases. It' very thin and protects from oxidation. Maybe you are using it already😉👍

hey I have a question tht I think is over looked. when do you need to put bigger head studs how much boost can arp 2000 bolts hold when does it starts to lose its clamping load also the arp 1/2

Servus Andre, habe ich richtig verstanden das der non Turbo über 200PS leisten soll? Würde mich mal interessieren was man dafür alles machen muss. Vielleicht erinnerst du dich an uns. Wir haben einen EJ25 NA in einen Porsche Spyder 550 Repl. eingepflanzt. Mit den GE Kolben hatten wir ja massive Ölprobleme.
