High Power = Big Questing 🟢🔵- Disney Lorcana Deck and Gameplay - Rise of the Floodborn

In this Lorcana Deck Building and Pixelborn Gameplay video, I use Pete, bad Guy in combination with Alice, Growing Girl. Since Pete can quest for more when his strength reaches 7, we can use Alice's support ability to increase his strength. Conversely, if we increase Pete's power through actions, we can quest and power up Alice so that she can ques for a lot. This Lorcana Rise of the Floodborn deck makes full use of some of the new enchanted rares in the Rise of the Floodborn expansion.

Like the idea of Pete and Alice - Maybe 2.0 some more ideas - Need draw engine with Paw - Maybe take out Nothing to Hide and Hades to get more card draw - It's close to being something though

Removing the can-trip and Mickeys and abandonning the 'spells matter' theme might be a good idea. The Flaversham/Pawpsicle engine has been proven to be pretty great. I just worry that it would still have the problem of too many weak characters once exerted... but still something to think about. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

How do you think a ward heavy deck would fair against today's meta? I imagine Aurora at the Helm. The deck would be vulnerable to Be Prepared and Lady Tremaine in ruby and Grab Your Swords in steel. I wonder if it would be worth using shield to make sure characters are ready after questing.

It can probably do ok, but not great. Warded characters are still generally weak to combat, so Maui and other beaters are pretty strong too. If you try to ready them with the shield or Lefou, you are investing a lot in of time and resources into the setup. (Also lots of Benjis going around) The hyper-aggro decks willl give you a hard time. It can still be a fine deck, , Kuzco is still very powerful, but it won't be a silver bullet to the meta.

I love this idea for the deck! Why not vicious betrayal instead of Improvise? With that single card Pete gets up to 8 strength :)

Thanks! I don't like vicious betrayal because it costs you the card. Improvise replaces itself with a new card, so it really only costs you 1 ink. It is a nice +5 strength for Pete as you mentionned; that is a cool thought!

I love the idea of this combo but for having played it too with a different deck list (same colors though) it just falls short too often. Maybe with future sets these combo decks will become strong. They're too much fun and deserve a pinch of extra love from Ravensburger's team.

I agree, the deck felt lackluster. We need a few more payoffs for multiple-spells and a way to avoid getting destroyed on the swing-backs.

I’ve been playing around this idea but missing’s something…I do play with Betrayal cause it boosts Pete immediately. I do play with support characters but there aren’t that many that are good enough. We can try getting the pawp engine for card draw but then you have to add items and the synergy of the support is lost. But I love this combo deck situation!! 😎🤘🏽

I agree, the deck feels a bit underwhelming. I think that it is because the characters don't have enough Strenght, which makes them too vulnerable to swing-backs. We an try to deck build around it, but I think the reality is that this is just going to be a tier-3 type of deck. Its still pretty fun to get the combos off and play. ;)

THANK YOU!! This is the deck I've been trying to play since the release of Chapter 2 since I got a couple of Legendary Alice and Pete is my favorite character with Mickey! My version worked about once every 4-5 games, sometimes earning up to 12-14 lores in one turn with a mix of Pete, Alice and Pain, but without any Hades or enough Let It Go, it's really hard to remove strong cards ^^'

Love this deck idea! That green Beast is hard to deal with, I personally tried a beast deck, could never get him to work more than once lol

Hehe, he definitely is quite relentless! I'll have to make another decck about him; if you get to use his ability a few times it gets pretty crazy!
