My take on it is the recipe below:
SQUIDAMINO
200 CLO
100PDFM
150 Squid
50 squid powder
50g WPC
50g Acid Casein
50g Rennet Casein
100 Semo
100 Soya
25 sensattract
10 Kelp 20 spice
1g citric
1g ascorbic
1g dmpt
8 eggs

You absolutely cannot beat homemade, high quality, not for profit make them at home, source your own ingredients, additives, enzymes, attractors, feed inducers, stimulators etc etc yourself. Of course it isn't convenient or for everyone but, the rewards are incomparable to shop bought boilies. Not that they are not good baits that catch fish, i prefer the process of making my own then watching the results unfold.. Discovering yourself how you can produce at home an outstanding bait that will hold its own and often outfish other baits is where all the hard work is rewarded. It is hard graft and not convenient for the majority of anglers whose time is limited, due to work and family life commitments, if you can make even your own hook baits you will get such a high from the capture it doesn't compare to taking one out the tub or outof a bag. Each to their own... Great video fella. Bait making science is fascinating and rewarding.

@@tomwinterfishing9065 Looks like WEP may be on the cards this year for me regarding the egg situation. Not used it before, i was thinking in theory you can add more food liquids into the mix and less water or does it not work like that?

When we designed Tropamino it was made with one thing in mind, to be the best bait you could put in front of a fish despite costs. I'd say its one of the best out there

Absolutely. I quite often give friends a bit. They’re always amazed at what they catch, compared to shop-bought, and want me to sell it to them! Ain’t got time for that though!

I made up the trop mix to the letter of the hmbb recipe, they were in the freezer for a year and after taking them out and drying they all float, I used 500gr of egg to make gunning easier maybe that was the reason, also I think maybe the freezer drawing moisture out of them may be the cause, I'm not sure.

Hi Tom. I`m on my second 25kg sack of Tropamino from BAF and I asked them to include the recipe with my last order, but they told me to go on Facebook, which I don`t do. I`ve read several differing recipes, some say Brocacel is included ? Any ideas what the BAF recipe is ?

I’ve used this recipe, or a variation of for years now, so I’ve caught plenty on them, however, I’m currently fishing somewhere extremely challenging, so didn’t catch anything (aside a few bream) on that particular batch! Unfortunately, I won’t or can’t film on either of my current carp venues, but I’m going to do a video on how to fish hemp for roach next week 👍 I do have some footage of a couple of carp sessions from earlier in the year I might splice together into a vid (had a few technicals with files getting corrupted). Glad you keen to see more: it’s good to have a kick up the bum!

Sorry for the probably silly question but in your ingredients list for the base mix, you have 150 squid then 50 squid powder. What is the 150 squid please? Thanks for a great educational video.

Well done for putting the recipe up, but I was always under the impression that dmpt was only allowed to be used in hookbaits/lures only?

Yes, you're right. TBH, I've done extensive research and testing of it and have come to the conclusion that it's not worth using in anything. I've fed my carp loads of it over the years, and they're alive, but it doesn't seem to work in any detectable way as an attractant/stimulant.

Hello, yes it’s a Makita cordless calking gun. Easy to find online. Think I got it off Amazon. Rolling table is a Gardner, although I have a variety of brands: they’re all pretty much the same. NGT do decent cheap ones, bought most of them off eBay. You can quite often pick bundles of them second hand off eBay or Facebook…Happy rolling!

Yeah, they’re a few out there. I have tried a few small firms, but I never have the confidence compared to my own. Missing out on fishing to roll bait is a pain sometimes, but I do enjoy getting the tables out, and mucking about with ‘the next wonder ingredient’!😂
