16 has a good grip on the front of the defender's jersey and pulls him to the ground definite hold, I have the spot at about the 25 yard line.

I see why it was called, but doubt I would have thrown it. Probably could have warned him he's too close to that being a hold.

We need to slow ourselves down especially when we have a flag. The wing should have held the spot and just pivoted around to see the out of bound actions and wait until he spots the ball or a crew member takes the spot from him, then communicate with the referee. This is a good example why a lot of crews have gone to using radios.

Very little impact on play. Hold occurs right at the end where tackle/ going OB is. Umpire spots ball wrong should be at near hash.

This comment 100%. Started as a great block and at the end got ugly but overall it had no impact on the play- so i would let this go - if you call every sloppy block by a wide receiver in hs football we will be there all day - call the big ones that have a direct impact on the play - no team gained an advantage on this play

honest question. The penalty enforcement is a little different then we have in my state. Play ended in the side zone, outside the numbers. Penalty was marched off, just outside the Hash (position 1) and then spotted in the middle of the field (position 3) . I would march it off from the spot of the foul, square in at the proper distance and place the ball at the hash (position 1) ready for the next play. Are there different mechanics? Am I missing something?

No, you’re correct. Should have been enforced from the SPOT of the foul and then spotted at nearest point, inside the hash (or ON it).

Very weak hold. Probably would have to be there to know if it was flag-worthy or not. Now as for the U spotting the ball in the middle of the field, how did he come up with that? And why did the R not correct him?
