High School Rewind - DOES IT HOLD UP? - Burberry Brit

I was so happy when I bought Burberry Brit again, it was my favourite scent in high school. I have an empty bottle of the old Burberry Brit though and when I compared it to the new scent I was quickly disappointed like you were. The old one smells a lot more powdery and sweet. I agree with you, it does almost smell a bit feminine though. After wearing the new Brit now and then I got used to it and actually appreciate the new scent because it is more masculine than before and if I didn't know the old Brit's smell I would definitely like the new Brit's smell anyway.

Whenever you buy a old perfume thinking about how you had it back in the day and you don't have a bottle to compare it with, you think "ahh the memories" after spraying it on. But, when you have an older bottle to compare with... thats when disappointment will kick in. I got lucky with Leau Dissey and Drakkar Noir cause newer bottles are definitely lighter but they still have the DNA there but with stuff like current Brit... I agree. It's really different 🤷‍♂

It’s like they all do a job of giving the suggestion of what the fragrance once was, without having that special something that made it what it once was. Without knowing any different and having no other outlet, I blame the IFRA. Let me stink like I used to 😅
