Jesus Christ saved my life he can save yours to. No body is perfect we all have sinned fallen short of the glory of God, except Jesus Christ. So he was the perfect sacrifice for the world and he became that sacrifice. So that we can be perfect in God’s eyes all we need to do is. Repent from our sinful wicked ways and surrender our life’s to him. Jesus Christ. Repent meaning acknowledge and forsake your sins. Know you have sinned and know you are not good in God’s eyes. (Until you accept his gift of salvation. You will be seen perfect in his eyes because Jesus Christ paid the price.)Forsake meaning do not sin. I wish wrestling was a thing in Australian schools when I was younger, I'd have done it in an instant. But kids are coddled and taught in school that any sort of physical conflict is inherently a bad thing and must never happen. I grew up as an emotionally neglected and fearful child (due to losing my mother at 5 and my father suffering from ptsd from his work and being prone to extreme outbursts of aggression) This carried into my late adolescence and early adulthood and resulted in myself having no capacity to engage in any sort of conflict (real or perceived) and being easily manipulated and unable to say no to others. As well as a learned distrust and expectation of abandonment from women (due to my mother leaving) After deciding to commit to training Jiu Jitsu and learning that not only is conflict inevitable and must be accepted as part of life, that even someone as damaged as I am can become a formidable force to contend with. I see absolutely no good reason whatsoever for parents not to enrol their child in martial arts. None.

I won State without EVER really shooting. It never made sense to me why you'd wanna purposely go UNDER someone. That's exactly where I want you. Imma sprawl...and essentially do a Switch, before he even gets ahold of me. My set up was to lock up and faint ankle picks. That way they'd shoot, or by using their ankle pick defense....duck under suplex...all day. I'd like to coach. Keep working everyone.

I got so close to winning a state title. I was in the semis with thus kid I've wrestled before. Last time I wrestled him he won 10-7 with three backpoints in the final seconds. The kid was also at the time a 2-3 time state champ, idk. We went into overtime and then he took me down so I couldn't make the finals. I still took 3rd and the kid who beat me in ot pinned the kid in the finals.

Also a big thing I noticed with younger wrestlers is that set up THEN shoot rather than using a set up AND shooting. They’re thinking and processing too much and not treating it all as a simultaneous process. If you set up then shoot you’re take down won’t be nearly as successful. Here he’s already taking his penetration step before he finishes the “set up”
@csorighthere8414
@csorighthere8414 Жыл бұрын
What u said at the end about setting up shots. I say applies to every combat sport. Everything needs to be set up when it’s come to fighting or combat. U can’t set up a takedown without feints and level changes. U can’t set up strikes without feints and counters. U can’t set up submissions without being in the right position, or even just throwing one up doesn’t work. U gotta again set it up. Very smart advice. That seems like most people don’t do from what I see on the ufc especially. But this is why the best fighters r the most technical. Cuz that technique also means being able to set up ur moves. It’s like chess
@lclement04
@lclement04 Жыл бұрын
No to ur point “from what you’ve seen in the ufc” because those guys are meatheads and they suck. Why is it that the only people setting anything up are literally the champs. And then everyone tries to act like these ufc fighters are high level. Bro I’d out wrestle damn near 80 percent of the roster at ufc. It’s nuts. Literally it’s their life and their job and they won’t just train their grappling. It’s sad really. They act like they’re so mentally tough too. Like why don’t they just get better then?
@csorighthere8414
@csorighthere8414 Жыл бұрын
@@lclement04 aye I like what ur talking about cuz I agree so much. Like even the striking and wrestling. It seems no one really has it all. But I feel as a wrestler after I did wrestling than transition to other combats. It felt easy to get good at bc of wrestling
@philipgagnon4553
@philipgagnon4553 Жыл бұрын
@@lclement04- You might be able to outwrestle 80% of them in a pure wrestling match. But if you tried against a Joy Jitsu player, you’d likely get choked out often, because in wrestling, we don’t have to worry about our necks (or our joints for that matter). Same if you went up against a Muay Thai fighter. If you can get in close and get your hands on them and drag them into your world, you’d have a field day. But you may also end out out cold with a knee to you face or an elbow across your head. That is the difference in MMA. That’s why those that can absorb different disciplines and transition between them have the most success. It really is a 3-tiered chess match. The greatest specialist in one discipline will fall to a well-rounded artist. It is a different world. One you should try if you have the opportunity.

Basically a tap and go! Everything needs to be set up and if it’s not there and you have to score you better flurry with multiple fakes and set ups till those legs or legs open up. Even more to your point this is why re shots are so successful on this level. Unless your Cael just colar tie picking everyone with ease then you need to have the angle the hand fighting to get in and the set ups to create that very small window of space to get your finishing percentage higher! Throw the elbow by, or boot scoot and suck under into it. This is D1 best of the best no one is just going to give you a leg and easy finish.

My go to was ALWAYS to practice this kind of sequence..!! I always kept a low center,,, shot with double upward chop then immediately post the face with my left hand driving upward and to the left while simultaneously dropping my right down for an outside single..!! Followed up by transitioning to high crotch with my right arm between the legs from the opponents back side...!! On the way to the deck I would decide whether I would lock a near side cradle OR go immediately to double leg ride into a chopped down double arm bar..!! Works, like a charm, especially if your super fast like a sprinter..!! I ran a 10.9 100m back in the day, so my shots were like lightning..!!

@@TaylorDorsett u can have technique n have a mindset of winning by one point . Mentality beat technique , I won state twice . Placed at fargo once n going back this summer. I’m technical but I break guys who think their gonna match or keep a close match because their also “technical” . If ur mindset is beating me of technique n my mindset is using my technique to break you , I won before the match ever started

Can't say I agree with this. He says setting up before shooting is good, but says shooting from a tie-up is not. Tying up is how many good wrestlers setup their attacks so this statement is super contradictory. The advantages of shooting from a tie-up are: 1)you have closed the gap 2)you can misdirect using false telegraph or by forcing your opponent into a weaker position Why won't this simple advice win you a state title? Because anyone can do ONE THING!. If EVERYONE can and does it, how does it make anyone better than another. It doesn't. You want to know how to win state and national tiles? Do what others CANNOT! People like Spencer Lee dominate wrestlers because they don't just do what everyone does. They do what others cannot. You could shoot in as deep as possible on Spencer Lee and I gurantee, 99.99999% of people cannot finish it. That's how you win tiltles--doing things that others can't. You can't teach these sort of things. The thing that separates the best from the rest is a thing called "talent". Talent is ALL the ingredients that allow you to do what 99.9999% of others cannot. It's not one thing. It's ALL OF THE ABOVE! Trust me, I know what I'm talking about because I wrestled for two years, 7th & 8th grade, and I took 3rd in the conference tournament. Anyone have doubts, just ask Spencer Lee. 😂😂😂😂

If it was basic wrestling then we wouldn’t see high schoolers that aren’t the crème of the crop around the country consistently try to shoot when they are in a ear to ear tie up. Just stop. This is absolutely huge to understand as you go up levels.

Actually setting up shots is a hugely overoooked part of wrestling. I didn’t really focus on it until college. Sure I knew it needed to happen but I didn’t consciously think about it. Many many less than stellar programs are the same way.

Coach talked about set ups, but didnt show how to apply it with variations. I mainly just used a basic snap down.. but its levels to it esp with collar tie set ups which ia something I didnt learn til after. Just basic snap down and look for an angle.
@lclement04
@lclement04 Жыл бұрын
Not that deep. U can snap down from anywhere. Watch Jesse Mendez. If u can’t get a shot u can snap if u can’t snap u can shoot. And once u start using fakes with that concept u can takedown anyone. The hard part is wrestling for 6 or 7 minutes and staying perfect.
