same with Brady's defense that year in 2011. Gave up hella yards but still good at points allowed. People are hypocrite these days though as they view yards allowed as being a horrible defense when there's more to it than just yards allowed. packers got smack in the playoff real hard during this season and never quite recovered from it.

Made my first trip from Australia to New York to see the GMen at MetLife and ended up seeing this game. Incredible to be able to say I saw the Superbowl champs and one of the greatest qbs in a shootout live and in person. Thanks for uploading brought back happy, happy memories of the day.

As a Giants fan, this reminded me of when they played the undefeated Patriots during the 2007 regular season. The lowly Giants neck-and-neck with the top team in the league. Same exact score, too. So when they played the Packers in the playoffs, I knew a win was possible. I just couldn't imagine how spectacular of a beating it would be, regardless of a handful of questionable penalty calls in the Packers' favor.

The NFC was very strong in 2011mainly due to the offensive fire power from most of the teams. The Lions and Bears before the Jay Cutler injury were tough outings for everyone but once Cutler got hurt it left the door open for Falcons to get it. As for the Giants they were on a 5 game losing streak after this game and somehow Dallas sill imploded and went 1-4 the last 5 weeks and the Giants went 3-1 the last 4 and swept the Cowboys twice within that time frame.

For the TNF game between Indianapolis and Denver, this channel should upload the game between the colts and broncos from 2002, an ESPN SNF game a few days before Thanksgiving. It went into overtime, and Indianapolis won on a FG. It began a run of Indy beating Denver in most of the ensuing matchups, especially postseason. I know because I'm a Denver fan lol 😩😅 This was a good game too. Aaron rodgers got a generous roughing the passer penalty called in the packers favor lol.

@@croixR I remember a few games the defense was raved about. I found it to especially be the breakout year for Matthews. But yeah you’re spot on lol paper defense needs to translate to performance. Far too many times in the league the depth can be elite and stellar. That obviously doesn’t translate to on-the-field performance. It’s kind of a case in point though when you consider the defense got more playing time and they were higher ranked in 2012.
