Yeah international standard height of the containers is 2.36m and dual stack will be around 4.72 so yeah somewhere around 6m

Did Indian railways wasted it's money on wag12b as both wdg4g wag12b haul same 45 wagon train

Wag12b was made for hills and slopy areas . Because these trains cant go fast on that railway tracks. Wag12b was good but it was found that Wag12b has bad pickup. It was not able to gather speed quickly as diesel engiens do . So it was then made run in dfc corridor and plain regions . Thus Wag12b was a failure

Cause replacing diesel with electric engine costs money

The electric locos are being produced and most of the diesel passanger train engines have been replaced with the electric ones and some are still remaining andI think alot of diesel freight engines have also been replaced with the electric ones,and many are still under production,In 1-2 years you will most of the diesel engines will be replaced by electric engines.
