It absolutely shouldn't, it's not really designed to be played competitively and is more suited to a relaxed party game, particularly because of the RNG element which can heavily influence how a games turns out. It's like playing UNO competitively. Only games with next to no RNG, and where success is mostly based on skill than luck, can be reliably played competitively.

@@N00btr00per I think the subtle difference is that with poker the main way you "win" is by bluffing and less so from the actual cards you have. It's a psychological game more than a card game, so even though the basis is totally random (the deck you have), the way you win is entirely skill. In Among Us there are ways you can totally get screwed over by RNG which is completely beyond control, like if everyone gets medbay, or if everyone stays in a group for the whole round, or if your teammate is an idiot (which you can't control because there is no direct communication between impostors, nor can you choose your impostor teammate). Keep in mind I've never played a game of poker in my life so I'm totally talking out my ass.

The only real way to play this kind of a game as a tournament. Random who's crew or imposter and if you're going to rate overall play in a competition it'd have to be point based in a way that tallys correct decisions and incorrect votes as much as wins/losses and kills/survivals. Seeing that they had good sus on him when he dc'd I can understand some salt at losing the opportunity to penalize the group's scores for an incorrect ejection.

I was wondering that as well but apparently, it has to do with the tournament that this game was played in. There was a point system and it looks like the crewmates would have gotten -1 point for voting out another crewmate but since he DC'd they didn't vote (since you don't vote on 7) and so they didn't get the -1 which is bad for 5up since everyone else getting a -1 is basically a +1 for him.

His movement is very sus. The reason he doesn't get voted is because of his lying abilities. He's able to pick up on when a conversation is heading towards him getting voted out, and subtly refutes those arguements so the suspicion is taken off of him. Everyone is almost always sus of him, but there's usually never enough evidence to vote him out for it.

@@sarahrahaman8001 I didn't say vote him off based on movement. But he isn't doing anything. He's just running around. And i dont understand why no one else thinks that's not suspicious. If someone is just constantly moving and I never see them stop to do anything, I keep my eye on them. Him entering a room, checking on people and just leaving is not typical crewmate behavior, not at the beginning of the game the way he does it. If everyone finished tasks that would be one thing, but at the start, that's suspicious. And, no, if you have a legitimate reason to vote someone off and movement just adds to that, then its not dumb. Especially if it's right. Among us is all about movement. That's what the behavior is based on. What else is there to go on between meetings? Who was where and when is also movement.
