Ah my great grandads snack bar at the bus station 😁 never saw it in person so it’s nice to see it on film! Thanks for sharing!

Was that when the bus station was where the fire station was later, or the other place (down the New Row?)? It's changed so much since I was a kid (returned around 1984). I've only been back a few times over the last 20 years and I was stunned by how dead it was (about 18 months ago). So much wiped out by badly placed buildings - especially that crappy bus station.

It looks better in this 80s video than it does today. So sad to see its decline over the years. It could’ve been a thriving town/city today (the population is growing every year with the eastern expansion). Instead, it’s mostly nail and hair salons. A lot of empty buildings too that have potential to be nice cafes, restaurants, bars or independent shops/boutiques but they lie crumbling. Next or M&S should’ve moved into the old Debenhams unit as the Kingsgate is pretty poor now. Fife council should really be ashamed of themselves for allowing it to get like this. Let’s hope someone in the council has the foresight to start turning things around for the city. #Dunfermline deserves better!
