Hannah Rothschild’s latest novel, High Time, is an outlandish comedy of morals and manners about a highborn British family of outrageous characters, the follow-up to her acclaimed books The Improbability of Love and House of Trelawney. In addition to being a writer, Rothschild was made a CBE for services to the arts and philanthropy, and in 2021, was elected to the American Academy of the Arts. She was the first female Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Gallery in London. Rothschild is joined in conversation by Elizabeth Sorensen to talk about her work as a writer, documentary filmmaker, businesswoman and philanthropist.
