Phly, for long range shots, select the roof MG as an individual weapon (its 3 on my numpad) and bracket your target using that. Its how I use the Chinese ISU-152 in Sim. Having 7 years of War Thunder under my belt I'm fairly good at getting ranges roughly right most of the time so it doesn't take long. 3 round burst each time. When it strikes the target centre mass you've got your range, move back to main armament and adjust the range to match and boom. You'll make long range HE shots all day. The Chinese ISU-152 isn't available in sim events until you're dealing with late WW2 stuff so I find myself on big maps against Jagd Tigers and King Tigers etc but for now, the 152mm HE "don't care" and destroys that which sits before it.

phily if you were wondering IRl most tank crews bail out when receiving a penetrating hit. Something about having one of your friends guts all over the place. The Stug would have serious spalling and the crew would bail or be seriously injured. Love your videos keep up the good work

If you angle to the driver’s right side, you gain a lot of survivability. Either the shell bounces off the lesser surface area, knocks your breach out, or only kills two unimportant crew members.

Not gonna lie, ISU 152 is a real monster even when I play it together with IS 2 and ISU 122. I have no problem when it comes to Tiger II or Jadgpanther. When you use it properly then ISU 152 can become unstoppable

Phly there is a Mosquito at 3.3 in the british tech tree that has a 57mm anti tank gun with 25 shots and 60 shots per minute, you should try it.

This is why I play the SU-152. It's my number one vehicle with KD at almost a 5/1 ratio. Also Phly, bro. I'm only 7 minutes in but just use the AP. It's still a one-shot kill and can pierce the front plate of a panther at almost 1500m. I only use HE for light vehicles
