I love when a channel says they do the exact thing that I am interested in, but don't have anyone around me to talk about it with.

I think Form Labs is not aiming for "mass" production, but more like "medium" production. I see their marketing always talking about dentures. And I think that is the perfect scenario for this printer. Dentures have to be custom to fit in a person's mouth. With this machine a dentist's office can make 3D scans of a patient's mouth, make an STL for the denture and put it in a Que to be printed. Let the machine run overnight or over a weekend, come in to a basket of parts, clean and cure and send them to the patient. The auto station just eliminates the need to pay someone to watch the machine all day and night. It's great for an office where someone will be in to check on it every 24 to 48 hours, but it will not be occupied continuously. If you don't know, traditional dentures cost between 3 and 5 thousand dollars. This kind of machine could bring that cost down a lot. And make it easy to get replacement dentures. If the dentists can save the STL file they can always just print out a new set whenever needed. And trust me, old people misplace or break their dentures A LOT.

mass production resin printer definitely have a niche. especially for board game miniatures or other kind of miniatures that have limited release though formlab never seem to be targeting that kind of market

This is definitely not a step backwards for form labs. The system seems to be a lot easier for smaller companies to adopt instead of a massive automated system with robot arms

Do you know any solutions or automations for making washing less time consuming for mass resin printing

Certainly not mass production resin with formlabs as your chosen machine. Super expensive resin. Super expensive machines. Super expensive add on equipment. And all to produce something from plastic which is supposed to be inexpensive. It’s a great example of engineers doing things because they can and not because they’re a good idea.
