Great tips Gianluca! From my experience also I would want to add, try to find a way to organize all your notes and the material you're learning as soon as you start your semester. Use applications like Notion, OneNote or whatever that works for you to have everything organized because in the next 4 years you will be coming back to those notes and you will be revising these over and over again. So the more organized you are with your note taking, the easier it will be for you to look up your notes and revise the concepts! Cheers and congratulations to the incoming medical students!

Great tips Arvin 🔥 contrary to what most people seem to think, I’m really not that tech savy when it comes to studying and resources - I prefer pen and paper notes whenever I can. But most students find great success with apps like notion, etc.

Great tips Gianluca. Many med students get school-specific decks. But you are only doing yourself a disservice if you are not supplementing this with anking or even just a couple additional questions of uworld step 1 a day.

Great tip 🤙 some schools have Anki decks made by previous students for school specific exams. I didn’t find any for my program but I’ve heard this from others

Nice video ! Can we pls get a video on the difference between step 2 CK and Canadian exam? I always hear ppl say Canadian is easier but not really much explanation on the differences thanks

I wanted to do a video ranking and comparing all the major exams - MCAT, STEP 1,2,3, and Canadian MCCQE 1. Will probably hold off until after I finish step 3 in the fall, but it will be coming :)

Unfortunately that’s not really how medical school works. You could always do all of Anking 30,000+ cards I believe? But there are no true “required” textbooks. Just topics to learn about and prepare for your exams. Hypothetically, in order to read all required material you’d have to read thousands of pages from multiple sources to cover all the topics of medical school before even showing up to a single class. You can read through a book like First Aid for Step 1 or 2 as a general first pass (couple of hundred pages each) but I would advise against this and instead just focus on pacing yourself in medical school 🤙
