This isn't an official exercise, but one of the best things we can do it shuffle/mix them, then sort them into their corresponding suits and put them back into numerical order. Not only does this help us learn the structure and design of the deck, but while were doing this we notice little things about each card that stick with us, causing us to dig deeper and begin learning more : )

The Moon is a much more foreboding card than Death. I’ve been writing prose poetry variations of all twenty-two Major Arcana cards, variations of prose poetry pieces, and plan on doing something with the four suits. More thought went into the creation of the standard Waite deck than most people realize. There really is a density of symbols.

Thank you for the feedback. I've been contemplating doing a series of videos for getting started with reading and separate videos for the major and minor arcana. When I filmed this, I wasn't very familiar with iMovie and wanted to make the video in one sitting without breaks, which made it less detailed. I'll work on posting something in the description box to give an overview of the cards for reference. I've known readers who wrote notes on their cards when they were getting started to remind them of the meanings, but a reference sheet also works. Have fun with reading! It gets to be second nature after a while.

This is excellent! I'm using the Book of Shadows tarot, and I'm amazed at what my associational mind can do with this stuff. The As Below deck corresponds to the Rider Waite deck and your Tower explanation really helped me. I'm getting that card several times now. Rather uncanny. I'm going to switch to the Rider Waite because it seems clearer. Probably a better starting point. Very intrigued by this.
