@808Cummins Aloha. I understand your skepticism. I'm in Mountain View. (And I'm a Ma'am, not a Sir, 😉) By prepping to evacuate, I meant: our 2018 evac from Kapoho wasn't smooth at all. Now, Highway 11 is the Only way out in my area. We'd rather be safe than trapped and burned alive if our Evac route is inaccessible or blocked - like Lahaina. 2018 was an eye opener for me. Many, Many lava veterans and elders questioned the "series of unusual quakes" that came before the lava. Israel Company Ormat's PGV Geothermal plant was suspected of fracking - and some were sounding the alarm long before 2018, that deep digging could prompt lava flows - even control and direct them. (Controlling / Altering lava has been studied and debated in depth for decades as a means of Protection.) All I'm saying is: Respected Kapuna, who in past times considered it a Blessing when Pele chose their homes, they were calling BS in 2018. And we are Watching Closely now.
