HIGHGATE CEMETERY WEST London Vampire Walk 2020

Join me on a walk around London's Highgate West Cemetery. Learn about famous residents including the Highgate Vampire. Highgate is one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries in London, dating from 1839. There are approximately 170,000 people buried at Highgate's East & West Cemetery. The Cemetery is designated Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Rumours of a Vampire at Highgate started in the 1970s with several people reporting a bespectacled gentleman on a bicycle or with a top hat seen in the cemetery or nearby Swains Lane. The Highgate Vampire is famous enough to have inspired Hammer Horror's Dracula A.D. 1972 & even made an appearance on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This is really a lovely peaceful walk through Highgate Cemetery West. We've been to the East Cemetery but not here. I hope to rectify that as soon as we can travel to the UK again. Thanks so much for posting this.
