(Matt 11:28-30) I started reading the Bible one day in my kitchen, never even met anyone who had... and I learned about Jesus by reading that Bible and my soul has been redeemed and comforted ever since.... seriously friend. My father grew up on a farm in the early 1900s and he told me a story once about how fast cows can run. His father had total control of all the cows and had their respect too, so if one ever got out of line and was acting rowdy while they were milking he'd hit em with the little tin bucket he had and they always stopped.(This was before we decided to treat animals a bit nicer lol. Apparently it was pretty rare for one to act out though) So my father who was like 7 at the time, was up early milking and his dad was busy with something else. One of the cows was getting rowdy and my dad thought "Hmm. I guess ill do what dad does", big mistake. Since he wasn't his dad, this cow chased him half a mile in their field before my dad finally was able to jump the fence and get away. He got cut up by the barb wire though and had to explain how that happened though lol. He never forgot how fast cows could get and how they could easily mess you up.

We had cows when I was growing up in northeastern Alabama. My daddy always told me to be wary of bulls, because they're unpredictable. I had a swing in the pasture, & one time I was swinging, & happened to look back & a bull was bobbing his head like he was fixing to butt me. He might've just been playing, but I jumped out of that swing & climbed the fence in record time! He was either a polled Hereford or black angus.

Said it before, but gotta say it again, Hamish is so very handsome! Did something very stupid as a teen, in the wee dark hours went "cow tipping" which is malarkey; thing is, there were at least 20 cows in the field, God must pity fools as there was no bull among them. However! At about 10 years of age I had a grow, young cow attempt to mount me as I was bending over to drop some hay in front of her. Thankfully her weight pushed me forward instead of down. One with common sense would think that incident would have deterred me from messing with cows I didn't know, out in an open field. Now I have only two words for all animals, tiny and massive: Respect and Caution. Because, like us humans they too can have a "bad day". Thank you so much for sharing your Pet's with us Marc!
