That first game strategy was kind of weak. You filled up your hand in hopes of a 3/23 chance (not sure on how many cards were in the deck) that you'd burn one of the plagues? Not only that, but if they had a 2nd source of plagues you'd have to burn the exact plague(s) they had multiples of. It was more dependent on whether or not they had a 2nd source of plagues, which they didn't, so win.
