Thank you very much for this excellent example. I'm looking forward to applying to a similar scenario at some of my work files. New sub earned!

Hi! Do you know what I should put in the vba script if I want to highlight the cells in multiple sheets containing a specific text from a different sheet? It's a date so it changes everyday and I can't incorporate it inside the script. The date is in sheet 1 but I need to highlight the cells containing the date indicated in sheet 1 in the next sheets.

Hi! I have a workbook which contains 17 sheets. This workbook is a type of work schedule where I can enter a start date which usually begins a new year. In each sheet which is based upon a 24 day work schedule I need the sheet to calculate the days of the 24 day/schedule as well as the day of the week. I need the name of the sheet to change to reflect the range of dates for each sheet. Next I need for one row the cells for Saturday and Sunday to change color. The parts that I have not been able to work are renaming the sheets based upon the start day and the changing of the cell color. What do you think?

How about if you will write the value in the cells it will be highlighted also or we need to run the macro? Thanks.

Hi Alvin, you an of course also write a value to the cell manually. Hope it helped!

Thank you, but how about the Multiple Values/Texts? for example, i want to highlight the cells Range A1:H100 depending on their Values in Range J2:J50 (but i don't want to put color in this range J2:J50) you can Also do this trick in Conditional Formatting but the J2:J50 will also have color

Hi Yosef, thank you for your comment and sorry for the delay. Yes you can do that. Just put offset in front of the conditional formatting part so something like ... .offset(-10,0).interior.colorindex = 6

What if i want to highlight cell value based on the subject in outlook email?

Thanks for this video. In conditional formatting you can use the code "today+14" or "today>14". can I also use that in this macro? if that is possible can you tell me how to do this? thank you in advance!
@FinanceNik2 жыл бұрын
Dear Peter, this might be slightly more tricky than just changing the value of a number. As today is a date or datetime value, you would have to adjust the days specifically. In VBA you can do that with the "DateAdd" function. Just google that and you will find how to adjust each part of a date.

Sir, thank you this very nice video. Need your kind favor and assistance what about if I choose cell "A1" any data I put in cell "A1" it will highlight same value in B3 to B13. Looking forward for your kind assistance.

Dear Maurice, I am not sure if I understand your question correctly. Are you asking whether the highlighted cell range stays constant when changing the input cell?
@mauricelee22193 жыл бұрын
@@FinanceNik Hi, Sir, good day, for my view is it possible instead of using input box, I will use cell A1 for my input value, any value I put in cell A1 will highlight same value in either B3 to B13. Many Thanks.
@FinanceNik3 жыл бұрын
@@mauricelee2219 Yes, that surely is possible! Just exchange the code line with the input function with something like sheets(1).cells(1,1).value
