As a South African all I can say is that Argentina has become a very dangerous team. They can and do beat anyone. By this point any team that underestimates them does so at their own peril. I can easily see them being a future world cup winner if they keep going like this. What a game. Los Pumas played brilliantly. The Boks better be on top of their game next time.

Viva los Pumas. Why, as a 76yr old South African would I celebrate this Puma's win? History. The Pumas are our younger brothers. In 1964 SARU sent Izak van Heerden, the Natal coach (& my Afrikaans master at Durban High School) to the Argentine to prepare them for their first international tour - to South Africa.Izak then returned to Argentina, learnt Spanish & spent a couple of years developing their rugby. He put them on the right path, & their natural flair make them a delight to watch.He would be very proud of them today.There is an Izak wiki. So, all Saffers should always support the Pumas, after all, we gave them their name. On their '64 tour they did not yet have a team name. a Transvaal journalist seeing a cat on their flag, thought South American big cat- Puma, & called them that in the papers. Their cat is actually the jaguar, But the Pumas it is, a very strong South African connection for ever. So today we say , with love- Well done kleinboets, you have certainly come of age.

Well this will be great for Argentinian Rugby and for the Argy fans - but it shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that dispite his good general play Manie Libbok is a hinderance and doesnt have the BMT. Would Pollard have missed that kick - I dont think so. This has happened far to often. Its time to demote Libbok to the Currie Cup or entice him to take an overseas contract.

When I saw Libbok (Limp Bok), I knew it was the end of the Springboks, it will be extremely difficult to find a flyhalf as poor as Libbok. Rassie is smart enough to understand that he should never be on the bench again. The second test that he lost for the Boks. The yellow card to me was not supposed to be a yellow card, that was a poor decision. The Pumas backline outplayed the Boks backline, to be honest the Bok backline was pathetic. Moerat was a passenger.

Good game!! However, I still don't know why Libbok is the kicker, because that is one of the primary tasks of a kicker ie to put every ball through the uprights. I refer to other teams' kickers. Although Manie might be ok otherwise, he doe NOT have what it takes to kick under pressure. A near miss means absolutely nothing. Either Rassie trains up place kicker to play with Manie or drop him from the team. One cannot rely on "hope he gets it right this time" attitude. Sorry, but either you are or are not a professional place kicker.

It's more important to support the boks (including Libbok) now than moan and cry about the ref or the final kick. Libbok is a talented bok and he deserves his place in the team. Our character is tested and demonstrated not when we win but when we lose. Our loyalty is also on display for the world to see and we remain commited to our values (as mentioned by Siya) and to our players. They are not gods and they are not infallible. I agree, but Libbok only has himself to blame. He's known since last year that the main reason he hasn't been a regular fixture is because of his goal kicking question marks in big moments. He should have been practicing day in and day out (even in his spare time). At this level, a kick like that should be a no contest. He's missed several big kick moments and many of them were relatively easy. So at some point you have to stop backing someone and simply out right replace them.

This loss must be contributed to, two things: 1 - The brilliant play of the Argentina team. 2 - The stupidity of the Springboks Management i.e. Rassie, how in the hell do you put Libbok in the team AND send him on the field without a recognised kicker on the field????????
