The last team I watched believing in that philosophy was Brazil 1982 - Zico, Socrates, Falcao, Eder. Their coach Tele Santana wanted his team to play " Jogo Bonito" or beautiful game. All said & done I have been an advocate for 1.8M goalies in the women's game for a long time. Still don't think Endler of PSG or Casey Murphy of USWNT would have saved any of those 3 lobbed goals. The element of surprise would have eaten away vital milliseconds before they could react.

Barcelona performing well shouldn't surprise most people, the team always had the talent what they lacked was the system, now they are playing in a system in which they played their whole life, a little bit more direct than their usual Tiki taka but they are in a familiar system, so it's easy for them to perform.
