Why aren't the Kiwi teams playing the Aussie teams, this is why the NH teams are better prepared for International tournaments,Their games are all against other countries .Don't be fooled by the Kiwi's win a few years ago ,excellent tho it was ,it was pure luck we won the line-out. Nothing beats Inernational competition,unlike Australia in other sports like Soccer,NRL,netball,cricket, who all have International fixtures Rugby authorities in both countries are letting our women down ,you only have to see Sevens Rugby where women from both countries lead the world ,don't be greedy,give them better opportunities !!🤔😎🤓🤠😡

Many people believe that Kiwi players and teams are better than their Northern Hemisphere counterparts. New Zealand have dominated totally when it comes to 15’s and 7’s competitions.

@@jonchess8844 My honest opinion, there are elements of the ferns game that are genuinely excellent. The link up in attack and the ability to exploit space is world class, as is the kick-pass and the chip and chase. But, there are large parts of their game that simply isn't up to that standard. At the top of that list is the set-piece, both the lineout and the scrum simply lack the power to give you parity of possession, the breakdown has a similar problem. In the WXV match, the England pack put you through the grinder and you struggled to respond. Looking around the Aupeki matches, I don't see the players to reinforce the pack. The other two weaknesses are the lack of a strategic kicking game, the ability to use the boot to pin the opposition in their 22, and some woeful defence. There is simply no line-speed, alignment, or connectivity in the defensive structures. My suspicion is that the root cause of that is that the NZ women's game is rooted in 7's not 15's. The fact is, you've played England 4 times since covid and the advent of the professional game, lost 3 of them fairly badly and scrapped a win in the WC final, playing against 14 players for 63 minutes. My feelings are that the win did you no favours. Many, like yourself, just jumped to the conclusion that all was well and the world of rugby had returned to its natural order. I looked, and failed to find, a single journalist or commentator, with the good sense to say, "there are issues we need to address and learn from", so there has been little learning or changes. As far as as I can see, there are things you can do. Players need more competitive high level games. You need to develop a more all round game and, probably most importantly, players need to make a decision, they are either 7's players or 15's players. The demands of the 2 sports are such that you can't do both at the necessary level

@@neill392 Another problem is that most of the players (those without Black Fern contracts) travel back home after the game, work in their usual day jobs, and then get back to the team for training on Thursday. That's not a lot of training together. The English players are full time professionals.
