As a guy from Toulouse, I want to congratulate the Cardiff team for their intentions in the game. They tried to play despite all the troubles. lot of bravery and fighting spirit. They honored the blue jersey. hail to the public too. They encouraged their team beautifully but respected us as well. Cardiff is one of these places where you can find the essence of rugby.

They’re a top team for sure, but without Dupont, they’re just one out of 3-4 top teams that can realistically think of the RWC hardware. When Dupont gets crazy like this, he can carry the entire match on his back. He’s such a difference maker.

Pfiouuu je suis scotché! Un match que le Stade Toulousain devait gagner facile compte tenu de la crise sanitaire et des défections multiples à Cardiff (ne pas oublier que Cardiff était grandement diminué). Mais le Stade n'y arrive pas, déjoue, etc. Et c'est lui qui allume tout le monde. Tel Moïse ouvrant le mer rouge ou Jésus marchant sur l'eau, Dupont a débloqué ce match à lui tout seul! Ses 3 percées et son coup de pied pour l'essai de Bonneval sont juste magiques! On voit pourquoi le monde du rugby l'a plébiscité comme meilleur joueur du monde! Merci Toto! Comme naguère Zidane, Dupont se joue du temps, il ralenti le temps autour de lui et joue à son propre rythme, qui n'est pas celui des autres et auprès duquel tout le monde apparaît lent et lourd, toujours en retard, alors que lui est incroyablement tranquille, évoluant sur un souffle, sur un tempo constamment décalé.

@@mikewilliams4499 The surface of the pitch is way more important in football, it can definitely change the way the ball bounces and it rolls faster than on normal grass. Few teams tried it in Ligue 1 when it's been allowed because it was a good way to limit the expenses on treating the grass all years but all these teams came back to normal grass because it was more of a handicap and it's also dangerous for the knees since the ground is harder and every step demands more work from the joints.

Dupont is just walking on the water since 2 years. This match just confirms his influence on the game. He can run, step, charge, stamp, pass and kick all over the pitchn. The guy reinvents the 9 position. If you read some of his interviews, he's humble and rarely fully happy of his performances. In some way, he's got the same "hard-work" mentality of a certain wilkinson.

Every time Dupont wins an individual trophee he always start to thank all his teammates for it. He is a shy and humble guy, he said that his name on the trophee surrounded by Carter McCaw and all was really weird for him. But as a France and Toulouse supporter, when he is on the pitch the entire team level is different. He is a real game changer, the match against biarritz Toulouse was struggling to win, he started at the 60' and 10 minutes later they were winning just beacause of his actions. He really is an alien i never saw a player with the same ability to change a rugby game.
