I don't know why people only think about a bigger stadium! A bigger stadium will come when the time is right. There's nothing wrong with a packed, smaller stadium like this. To be honest, I prefer a fully crowded, sold-out game in a 6,000-seat stadium over a half-empty one with 10,000 fans. (2022 final when Ottawa was the host)

A packed stadium is the most important element but no one can go when theres only 6000 seats. For f sakes if cusa can use 40k capacity Mc mahon stadium, then cpl can definitely do better

@@josephp9141CUSA does not use McMahon, it uses the Foothills Atletic Park next door (which was the place the Mustangs played out of besides Mewata which no longer exists). McMahon is also a dump. The NSL Wild are gonna have a horrid time with it…

I doubt it. This is at spruce meadows show jumping facility. McMahon Stadium has artificial turf so no go unless the U OF C puts in real grass again which it had years ago and was the best field in all of North America at the time.. .. Calgary needs a new stadium as McMahon is also aging..

We dont sell out Spruce on regular game days. When we do, thats when Spruce will expand.

McMahon has stitched in gridiron lines and non-FIFA approved turf. So, it will look bad on a broadcast, quality of play will drop and the atmosphere you saw today will fall off the cliff.

A bigger stadium to look empty. Great thinking🙄. U do know none of the teams can fill 20 k stadiums. What is needed is more clubs like ten and not playing 28 games but more like 22-20 and having a league Cup tournament.

This is the perfect size for CPL soccer. Packed stadium is what is going to grow this league. Visually more appealing.
