Liga MX is a joke. Queretaro should be banned for the rest of the season and no games should be held in Mexico for the remainder of the CCL. Montreal should not head down to play Cruz Azul. I'd even go so far as to say if nothing is done, Mexico should be banned from the world cup and be stripped of their host status for the 2026 one.

I was there as a LA Galaxy fan and wore the LA Kit. I was completely surrounded by nothing but Charlotte fans. I still cheered that goal with heart. Great atmosphere. Although it was annoying having a group of teens harassing me as I was trying to leave. After ignoring them for a solid minute I turned around to see what they wanted, after they let there insults out, all I told them was “Welcome to the MLS” and they left me alone. Safe to say they weren’t happy.

I don’t even like soccer, but this changed my mind. I watched it just because I heard it might be a record-breaking crowd, and it did not disappoint! Edit: I should clarify that i didn’t like soccer because I didn’t understand it. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and can’t wait for next weekend. Charlotte has got my support.

Great game from both teams last night. Hate that we lost at home. But Charlotte FC has sooo much potential. Khalina had some great saves last night. Once CFC gets gelled as a team, I think they're going to have some awesome wins. As a North Carolinian, seeing Charlotte and Bank of America Stadium on soccer tv (even though I was in the stadium last night), it makes me proud that we're now part of the soccer world!

Unpopular opinion: MLS should encourage teams (THAT ACTUALLY CAN FILL A STADIUM) to play in NFL stadiums. Imagine LAFC vs LA Galaxy in SoFi Stadium

While I think higher capacity stadiums will be necessary soon, I think it's best to steer away from the reliance of soccer on the NFL. MLS is making its own footprint rn and will benefit most by having individual soccer specific stadiums. It'll earn more respect from global fans imo

The more popular football/soccer gets in the US, the better players they can buy.. which means talent and skill will eventually rise in the mls, soon we’ll have teams that can at least have a respectable game against European clubs. This was a good game . Charlotte is a good team in the MLS already they will start getting results soon . The Charlotte keeper plays great and kept them in the game but that lone goal was just too extraordinary no way anyone could stop that . I’m excited for Charlotte.

Riiiiight. American football, where you don't even use your foot, except to run the ball you're holding in your hands. Meanwhile, the REAL football, which is played globally (unlike American football), actually uses the feet to get the ball from one end of the field to the other. Not to mention the fact that REAL football players have to run almost non-stop for 90 mins. While in American football, your players get breaks every 5 secs, which shows that REAL footballers have greater stamina and endurance than American footballers. But, you keep on thinking that your globally unpopular sport is the "real" football. Rest of us need a good laugh.
