Every Chelsea player had 10kg more muscles and atleast 5 cm height advantage, but it didn't matter today. The technique and precision Ajax academy players develope through the stages is unreal. They pass to right feet, they always know what to do before they recieve the ball and shows that when playing football, your head is the most important tool. A little bit more precision/determination on the last third and the result would have been different. Great game!

Abdelhak Nouri is going to have a fantastic career whether it is in Ajax or not. The second player I think will make it is Van de Beek. But guessing which player from the academy that will succeed in football is difficult to say, alot of things can happen, they are still just kids.

A number of these players should get plenty game-time this season with Frank Lampard and Jody Morris in charge. Cumming, James, Tomori, Mount, Hudson-Odoi and Abraham will join Christensen and Loftus-Cheek as youth teamers who can make the breakthrough. That senior players like Cahill, Drinkwater and now Luiz have been allowed to leave while these homegrowns are retained is encouraging for them. Chelsea will always attract good young talent to the academy because even if they don't make it to the first team there, they still have a greater chance of making a career in pro-football
