Despite losing I genuinely think Portland played pretty well against a top Liga MX team especially considering where they're ranking in the Western Conference and the Supporters Shield ranking. If it wasn't for the good defense Tigres could've scored 3-5 goals but they gave their all.. except in the late 2nd half where they committed penalty fouls but the ref was terrible at this lol Evander sort of lost his cool to get a 2nd yellow and defense was sleeping at the 2nd goal. Portland did have good runs with some fast attacking football but looked like pressure cracked. Hopefully R32 bodes well

Teams like Tigres, America, Monterrey and Chivas have the capability of going far. Thus, it becomes irrelevant when teams like Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis and Necaxa get bashed. These are mid to low level teams. They don’t have high enough budgets. They don’t aspire to win championships in Liga Mx

And Pachuca president said he didn’t even care about this league cup, he prefers the Libertadores cup from South America because they play in Mexico and South America .it’s even. That’s why Pachuca he used a reserve goaly and couple other young players, that’s bs for doing that but it’s whatever, only couple teams seem to want to win smh

The son always wants to be like his father, in soccer you (MLS) have no right to talk about soccer, you are a mediocre league. We, the MX league and the Mexican confederation, feel ashamed to belong to CONCANCAF, honestly it sucks to participate in these tournaments that only benefit the MLS league, the leaders of the MX league should focus on the Copa Libertadores or the Copa Sudamericana (where if there is a football level) but they care more about the money of your stupid league. No sé porque hay gente que utiliza este torneo para sacar conclusiones de la calidad entre los equipos y las ligas, para empezar sólo se juega en EUA favoreciendo a los equipos de la MLS, sin mencionar el momento de cada competencia local con la liga MX que apenas comenzaba mientras que los equipos de la MLS ya llevan más de la mitad de su torneo con rodaje, literal hay refuerzos de equipos de México que no pudieron jugar porque todavia ni llegaban o apenas estan recuperándose, y ojo que no es excusa porque seguramente un equipo mexicano terminará ganando este torneo, sólo digo que no te puedes basar en esto cuando las condiciones no son equitativas

primero ,todo equipo mexicano es local en USA, economicamente es mejor jugar en USA por que no es un torneo FIFA, y en cuanto el momento de competencia cuando es torneo de concacaff , le favorece a los equipos mexicanos , y finalmente los equipos mexicanos ahora estan luchando para ganar no como antes que mandaban el equipo C

En primer lugar eso de "local" es falso, eso funciona con la selección pero con equipos no, ejemplo el América que es el equipo con más hinchas apenas y asistieron 2 mil personas en su primer partido de llegues Cup... Segundo, la concachampions (que es la verdadera competencia realista) ahora con el nuevo formato se beneficia a los de la MLS porque llegan en mejor momento futbolístico mientras que los de MX apenas están en pretemporada. Y por último yo ya sé que este torneo es para que los clubes mexicanos ganen plata y de paso para que los de la MLS se luzcan y presuman ganar un torneo donde tienen todo a favor, de eso no me quejo sino de los niños de 5 años que piensan que por ganar este torneo sin reconocimiento de FIFA la MLS ya es mejor 😂

That was pretty damn soft, a bare graze, and looked completely unintentional (and typical histrionics from the opposing player) . . . there was a hell of a lot more contact throughout the US vs Netherlands women's match today, tbh. What nonsense by the refereeing crew . . . just poorly done. Really had a negative impact on the game for Portland.
