You use VAR to see that, after the defender let go of the arm, he then stepped on the attacker's foot, stopping the attack.

@@rotten_banana_ By definition under Law 12.3, if a player is fouled it cannot be considered simulation, unless he further feigns injury, which didn't occur here. The foot/ankle being trodden on is a foul, not a "foul". And rather than "literally" taking 2 steps, the right foot drags behind and he is then starting to fall as his left foot hits the ground. I'm not saying he didn't sell the call, but it's not simulation in any league.

Looks to me like the penalty kick wasn't given for the pull, but for DC #6 subsequently stepping on the attacker's foot/ankle, which clearly is a foul.

@@frenchchicken2799 EPL is different. I think EPL issues with d VAR & referees is a pride issues.Instead of lowering themselves down & work with d technologies which was meant to aid them. No , they want to brag about officiating EPL match without VAR or any help , even when d obvious is there 4 d whole world to see.

@@mrfilamfishing , no shade, just voicing out my opinion cos d penalty is too soft. This is men sports not women . In those leagues u’re mentioning , there are a serious cases 4 penalties but are ignored by d referees , 4 reasons best known to them .
