@@selinajoseph3946 ,that maybe the case in club rugby but not so in test matches where the same rules apply to all.As for league being global,come on!!Those countries you mentioned and most of the rest that play league take rugby more serious.The US play league too but rugby along with lacrosse are the two fastest growing games in the US,in fact north America which includes Canada and there was a rugby game played in Spain in 2016 between Racing 92 and Toulon I think in front of a crowd of 98,000.The only countries where league is bigger is Australia and PNG although rugby's starting to get a foothold in PNG now so that mightn't be for long either.Only 3 countries realistically can win the world cup in league and are competitive.Yes Tonga and Fiji beat NZ but I suspect that was only a one off and I doubt they will do it again for a while and I can't see any other team outside the big 3 ever winning the league world cup.Just like how Samoa beat Australia and Tonga beat France in the rugby,they were only one offs and they haven't beaten them since.At least in rugby Scotland,Ireland,Wales,England,France,South Africa,Australia,New Zealand and Argentina can all beat each other on any given day and can all potentially win the world cup on their day then you have the up and coming teams like Japan who beat SA and drew with France,the US who beat Scotland this year,Italy who also beat SA ,Georgia who just lost to Wales by a dropkick in the last minute and then teams like Tonga,Fiji,Samoa etc who are competitive.Also over 130 countries play rugby too.In countries like Georgia and Madagascar they regularly get crowds of 50,000+and rugby is now the number 1 sport in those countries.Rugby is growing rapidly whereas league isn't and being globally strong and being competitive go hand in hand not one all the other.Although I'm a rugby fan I follow all our sports teams and think the kiwis can come back and win lol.

No way is that a penalty try, if that's a penalty try in that game then from now on any situation exactly the same has to be called exactly the same. NZ made England look ridiculous when they scored. @Chris Williams @Chris Williams what are you talking about? union international games are far more competitive. league internationals are just full of nrl/superleague players who basically live in nz/oz/england playing in different nations. tonga for example are basically all players who live in nz or oz not one of them live in tonga where as the tongan union team most of them live in tonga. Other international teams are only added just to make the numbers and make it seem like the game is growing worldwide lol. In union this year alone argentina defeated both south africa and australia, usa defeated scotland this year, ireland are ranked 2nd in the world who also couple of years ago defeated the all blacks.
