I'm from Seattle and didn't watch live but this looks like it was a great match. I don't know why so many players are trying the panenka though. Unless you can tell that the keeper is committing to dive, it seems so risky. Especially on a team that needs every goal it can get.

I've often thought if goalies just stayed still until the kick's actually done, a lot more goals would be saved. So many times I've seen the chip thru the middle; it's ridiculous.

@@joelmakhluf6101 yeah it was awful. Worst game all season, even worse than playing all our teenagers. We have Morris, Lodeiro, Joao Paulo and Ruidiaz coming back for the next match though so the team will probably turn it around. But yeah, all us fans were pretty angry at that performance.

Typically, American (and Canadian) professional teams that finish towards the bottom of their leagues *with good ownership* are able to come back stronger in following seasons, with the Cleveland Browns being a great example. It seems like FC Cincinnati, however, need an entire shakeup from the top down. Minnesota United didn't continue to suck after they lost their first MLS game to Atlanta 7-0; they ended up coming back and becoming an incredibly solid team. This is obviously not the case with Cincinnati, and like I said, a shakeup seems to be their only hope of not being basement dwellers and wooden spoon recipients every single season going forward.

@@cx34 spot on. I was waiting for someone to mention Minnesota United but the key thing to look for is improvement. I dont think there has ever been a team so constantly bad, they need a full restart.

I think this team also showcases why pro/rel won't work. No one would be happy for the money put towards that stadium to be put to waste once no one cares when they are in div 2. Soccer really isn't popular enough here yet to support such a thing.

This is why America needs pro/rel in their soccer leagues. For three seasons, FC Cincinnati have not proved that they belong to play at the MLS level, and are the grand example of embarrassing. There are plenty of teams in USL Championship that would kill for a chance to compete on a higher level, yet we keep rewarding teams like FCC for their mediocre and downright embarrassing performances, just because they got an invitation to be a major league team. I hope the people at MLS headquarters are really looking at how sustainable it is to keep a team that’s on their 6th head coach in 3 years in their league, because it’s not going to get better from here folks

Yup. Yesterday I watched them on TV v. Philadelphia. (Why do I do this?) Zico Bailey was at left back (are Castillo and Matarrita both hurt?). Poor Zico literally had no ides where to stand. Philly figured this out and in the second half they must have got a player to the goal line on Zico's side to make a cross or pull-back literally a dozen times. Amazingly, it did not lead to a goal. But wow it was painful to watch.

There's very little a keeper can do when a attacking player isn't being marked well and makes it into the box 1 on 1. as for the long shots its likely he couldn't see the ball until it was too late.
