Difference between this match and italy vs ireland. In this match a scottish player tacke with the shoulder in the face, it's red card same for the french player. In the other match an irish player tackled Capuozzo with the shoulder in the face, it was just faul and no card...not even yellow. Capuozzo again high tackled, taked with an hand behind the neck by an Irish player, no foul, no card. That's all to say.

Its strange how France game ended with Fickou their No. 13 getting the last French try the same as Garry Ringrose got Ireland's last try in Ireland's game against France last week. Read that Fickou really misses his inside centre Danty in the newspapers thou it was known already - their centre partnership of Fickou and Moefana looked better against Scotland today than it did against Ireland - France are back on track.

We won a beautiful and very tough match physically, but I still feel deprived compared to last year since the start of the tournament, whether vs Italy, Ireland and Scotland, a tired French team, there is too many matches in the very difficult and hard TOP14! And in addition we probably also lose for the World Cup, given his serious injury, a player who had become very important, Anthony Jelong. :-( The year of the World Cup at home is worrying. France might be the most dominant team with the ball in hand in terms of winning the contact battle, getting over the gain line with almost every runner, and just the all round general aura of continually moving forward with every phase. And of course I am talking about right now only, 12 months ago maybe it was another team and come World Cup it could be another again. But damn if they can bring that dominance in physicality and bring their ball possession and territory closer to match that then they are going to be almost impossible to beat. Big Ifs of course. Ireland’s strategy of ball retention is probably the primary reason they beat them last time out, as we seen how many times Irish players fell off their tackles for the few times France had the ball (from an Irishman). Scotland are lookjng great too but I think the physicality took its toll on them, as did experience in those top tier best vs. best match ups. Too many mistakes and turnovers were made, one critical one leading to the intercept try.

Scotland get a massive turnover/penalty with France 5m from their try line , Hogg boots it close to the halfway line with 4 Min left on the clock , needing an uncoverted try to win the game . Scotland mess up their own lineout , Game over . If i was a Scottish fan I'd be furious at actually LOSING the game , instead of being BEATEN . Everything else in the match showed that Scotland have every chance of winning the 6 nations , Fin Russel is everything we hoped Quade Cooper would be , he's truly a genius 10 (again thank you Gatland for not starting him on the Lions tour , we in South Africa appreciate your work ). Huw Jones has added something very special to the Scotland midfield , they have both speed and soft skills and sheer power , he's just mountain. Scotland could've won this game , you cannot mess up set pieces in international rugby . That said I'd rather play Ireland and France in the QF than Scotland , I don't want no smoke with Fin Russel, Duhan , Huw Jones , Darcy Graham or any of those magicians in the Scottish backline . *Edit , this is not taking anything away from France , they are already proven winners (they too choked away a 6 Nations title , and back then I had the same critique about them and embracing the big moments in a pressure game ). Scotland whether vs France or Ireland have to prove that they are capable of executing under pressure to be a champion side . Ireland and France beat the Spirngboks , All Blacks and won 6 nations before , their main test is the World Cup

this game ended up looking like a "Scotland threw it away" cliche but actually i think it was never on from the start, it just looked like it might be because there's enough quality in the side these days to score a few tries. red card in the first 5 mins and then going 19 nil down?! come on, we were never at the races, France just let us back in with a moronic red of their own. if you want to win then you have to make the other team dance to your tune, and that's what the French did today, like a cat toying with a mouse. watch Ireland do it every week - 3 tries in the first 20 mins, completely shut it down and make the other team chase you around. i reckon we have a better chance with them at Murrayfield next time, to me that seems like a more winnable prospect.

It's funny how it's evolving. I always thought defences/set-piece dominance/penalty kicks would be the deciding factor at the highest level. But it seems attacking sides are now much more confident scanning and moving the ball quickly to create try-scoring opportunities.....for now a least. Still got to sort out those red cards though. They can and will ruin lots of games.

Scotland played very well they were impressive in this game especially Finn Russell and at the same time France defended very well , started well and had a classic finish at the end. Mohamed Haouas not really keen on him makes really stupid mistakes at times getting red card for nothing. He should be dropped for France in the world cup

Can you please someone tell me where their 2 red cards in the game Because what we witnessed was one of the most entertaining and amazing 14 Vs 14 Game ever both red cards were spot on the referees have no nonsense where it comes to head on head contact in a dangerous way these days despite this we have to give Scotland credit 19-0 down and they put in one hell of a performance to nearly win the game viva la Scotland lol and Fickou well deserved MOTM with Hugh Jones a close second with 2 well deserved Try’s
