Highlights from Inauguration of Amrita Hospital Faridabad

The chanting of vedas filled the air as the Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi walked in to the pristine and lit-up atrium of Amrita Hospital with folded palms. The Prime Minister greeted Amma with all reverence, who in turn welcomed him to light the lamp. On the 24th of August 2022, the world stood witness to an auspicious occasion of the launch of a great institution, Amrita Hospitals, Faridabad. Senior monastics including Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri and Swami Nijamritananda Puri accompanied the Prime Minister and Amma to the podium set up at the grand inaugural venue. An enthusiastic crowd waited for the dignitaries to arrive and listen to their enlightening words. Resident medical director Dr. Sanjeev Singh welcomed the Prime Minister, Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal , Union Minister Shri Krishan Pal and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Dushyant Chautala. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister reminded the world of Amma’s mission and service to humanity. “Amma is the embodiment of love, kindness, service, and renunciation. She is the messenger of India’s spiritual tradition,” he said.Talking to her children, Amma said the Mantra, “Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu (May all beings in the whole world be happy and free) remain rooted in the minds of all.”
