Ooo, I really love how you all ended the "Shadow of the Past" section. The contrast and tension in those last five or so measures was 🤌. I'm also glad your ensemble had a well-rounded percussion section and brass to fully express the arrangement. Mmm.

this song is not for grown adults a bunch of 5th 6th and 7th graders did this at my school better than this

While it is true that this piece isn't that particularly challenging, you need to remember that regardless of age, different ensembles aren't at the same level, and it's an insult to everyone performing in this ensemble to discredit their performance simply because they are playing an easier piece. I have seen videos of elementary school ensembles playing at levels above the ensembles at my own school, and I have seen videos of people much older than anyone in my school playing at our level, so age isn't necessary correlated with skill, practice and experience is. I guarantee a middle school ensemble with a few years under their belt are going to perform better than a beginner-level college ensemble because the college ensemble has less experience, even if their age allows for a quicker learning curve, so don't discredit the performance just because you heard a middle school ensemble do it better, just appreciate that this performance still sounds great regardless.
