Taraji's team literally had to keep negotiating and those producers would not get up off of more than $150,000. It's really crazy how they lowball black actors and in particular black women. Then, they say that we're whining which is really just gaslighting us. We're not whining just because we demand to be treated fairly. And for the people who say "why doesn't she just turn down the role?" it's a top studio movie with BRAD PITT. If you're an actor, these are the types of opportunities that you basically *have to take so that you can climb up the ladder. They know this, and they know that if you don't take it, somebody else will, so they take advantage of being able to lowball you on those fees.
