Jamaica consiguió el primer puesto del Grupo B al remontar una victoria por 3-2 sobre Haití en el estadio Hasely Crawford de Puerto España, Trinidad y Tobago.
Jamaica termina en primer lugar con 10 puntos para reservar su lugar en los cuartos de final, mientras que Haití termina con tres puntos y descendió a la Liga B.
Fue un comienzo ideal para Haití, ya que tomó una ventaja de 1-0 en el 15' gracias a Frantzdy Pierrot, quien pulió un rápido contraataque con un cabezazo a la portería tras un centro de Fafa Picault.
Pero Jamaica contraatacaría unos minutos más tarde, en el minuto 18, para igualar el marcador 1-1, con Demarai Gray aprovechando un despeje incorrecto de la defensa haitiana.
Se mantuvo nivelado hasta la segunda mitad cuando las cosas comenzaron a inclinarse a favor de Jamaica. Los Reggae Boyz comenzaron a tomar el control y tomaron una ventaja de 2-1 en el 57' cuando un centro de Michail Antonio llegó a los piés de Shamar Nicholson, cuyo disparo superó al portero haitiano Jhony Placide para marcar el gol.
Jamaica siguió avanzando en busca de un marcador seguro el cual llegó en el 66' gracias a Leon Bailey, quien superó a la defensa haitiana para una ventaja de 3-1 para Jamaica.
Haití no se dio por vencido y Pierrot puso el marcador 3-2 en el 87' al cabecear un tiro de esquina.
Pero el botín fue para Jamaica, que evitó cualquier drama en el tiempo adicional para quedarse con la victoria.
