The KDB Cup is an international U15 cadet tournament, in which Kevin De Bruyne connects his name. The tournament was organized for the first time in 2016. From the beginning, a high-quality tournament was set up, where you could see the football talents of the future in action. Many of the young talents go on to make their club's A-team or find themselves among Europe's most sought-after young players, such as Benfica's Umaro Embola (named the best player in the KDB Cup in 2016), FC Barcelona's Moriba Kourouma ( best player 2017) and Jeremy Doku from RSC Anderlecht.
Although the KDB Cup was only organized for the first time in 2016, it can already be counted among the top European youth tournaments. National and foreign clubs praise the high level of quality of the organization. It is no surprise then that the KDB Cup receives applications from clubs on all continents, such as Japan, Russia and Brazil. Famous players like Gunther Schepens, Tim Smolders, Tomasz Radzinski and Tine De Caigny like to get a glimpse of the Cup. Even Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's successful manager, flew in to see the talents with his own eyes.
