Not a fan of NYRB but maybe there's a fans and I have a question: why Serge Ngoma is barely playing? From what I've seen I think he has a lot of potential, that goal to Atlanta in the previous season was truly good, that's the play many people are associate with Red Bulls attacking style

If RB would just listen to their fans and make the stadium somewhere with better transportation then it would be amazing. There's literally no transportation to the games besides the path and driving. Even people from NJ who love RB cant go because of the fact that they'd have to pay much money to get to the stadium from their commuter line then switch to the path train etc.

@@Carrot_Garret Actually we used to have bigger attendances at Giants Stadium in the mid 90's when soccer was much less popular, no one wants to watch a U23 team play boring "energy drink soccer" , besides a handful of die hards

Terribly uninspiring game, which has become a Redbulls specialty. Empty stadium, lifeless play, zero creativity are all hallmarks of a program that is just treading water. I have no regrets giving up my season tix post Henry, once the team committed to a mediocre no name brand of play and development. Christ they've lost their way in what was once a hotbed of soccer.

They physically play their matches at Red Bull 🐂 Arena, and, physically located in the Town of Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey, about 12 miles west of New York City. They should be referred to as the New Jersey Red Bulls 🐂. This also goes for the NFL Jets and Giants. They all physically play in the State of New Jersey, yet, they're called New York teams. New Jersey have always played second-fiddle by our neighbors, New York City and Philadelphia, located across the Hudson and Delaware Rivers, respectfully.This has been a problem for the last 47 years when the Giants played their first game at Giants Stadium 🏟️, in East Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey, about 10 miles west of New York City. Unfortunately, before they played their first game, the public address announcer made an announcement to all the fans - Welcome to New York. This is an insult to the citizens of the State of New Jersey, when the Super Bowl was played at MetLife Stadium 🏟️ in East Rutherford, NJ, only to be called the "New York Super Bowl " by the NFL. When it comes down to PRIDE, it's only location, location, location, but not the actual physical location.

It's a well-known problem. A question I've always had is, Why doesn't New Jersey use a kind of eminent domain and claim its teams from New York? In exchange, NY could keep their used tires and trashed cars. In all seriousness, New Jersey should claim its teams. You pay taxes, after all, to support those stadiums. Seems the least the owners could do would be to acknowledge the actual home state of their teams!

New Jersey's geographical location and has always has had a major image problem, such as entertainment from Hollywood, hurling insults and jokes about our state, and to always get a laugh. Our "local" news consists of New York City and Philadelphia media that treat New Jerseyans as second class citizens. New Jersey has never had a dedicated TV market or TV station for 80 years. New York City and Philadelphia are the number 1 and number 4 media markets, respectfully, in the U.S. The majority of stories about New Jersey are nothing but crime, murders, shootings, fires, etc. That's why they have such a negative view of New Jersey. And, it seems like we always play second-fiddle to our neighbors across the Hudson and Delaware Rivers.

Thank you for all of your comments! I'll tip my hand a bit:. I lived in Astoria for 5 years, and have a good friend from Morristown. So I'm familiar with the commute by NJ Rail from NYC to an hour inside of New Jersey. New Jersey is a beautiful state, with wonderfully preserved historical sites and gorgeous parks. It's one you have every right to be proud of, and I do hope that you will start to take more control of your own image. There's nothing second class about New Jersey, and there's no reason you should accept that status from anyone. I'll leave it at that. Best of luck!
