The point is that snowboarders take off on their edges to rotate and therefore the chances of hitting the deck or send it to the bottom of the landing are higher. Skiers don't need to do so (carved take offs are more stylish though).

I don't know why, but the edits of the last years where better. And the hip is massive, but I think a rail feature is missing. The riders had style but a Jesper Tjäder or Henrik Harlaut would be better. I hope it will be better next year and I would like to see a jump again.

Yup. Because hitting corner jumps aka hips is much harder with the snowboard than with skis
