Great save at the end of the second half by St. Louis. That first goal by Torres had a great bounce on it, not allowing the goalkeeper to know where it was going. The VAR decision for the St. Louis goal was the correct call. While the decision for the handball was incorrect. Wow, Vassilev's shot could have been a contender for goal of the season if it went in!

​@@l333pyou see green because the bottom of the ball is thinner than the middle of the ball (it's a sphere) if there was a top down view you would see the whole ball doesn't go over the line, and I agree with the handball he is shielding his face .

I think they should have stuck with the no goal call on St. Louis I mean you couldn't clearly say that the ball was still in play or not to me the call should of stood as no goal. The handball in the penalty box i would have to watch that again they didnt really show a good angle of it in this video.

Think of where the ball would have gone (towards goal) if it hadn’t hit his hand. Sure, it happened so fast he couldn’t have been aware of it, but it still hit his hand and stopped it from going potentially into the goal. I think the yellow card was more for the poor acting skills and trying to convince everyone it hit his face.

@@sccrguy610 I prefer the EPL rule where, as of this season, it wouldn't be a penalty. It is a better rule as it doesn't penalize the defender for trying to block the ball. MLS, OTOH, requires defenders to stand around looking dumb. Bad rule, and bad for the game.

MLS has VAR but still can’t ever be consistent with it… STL has gotten robbed out of 3 handball penalties, much clearer than this in our last 5 MLS games. One last week against Austin, another against Miami, then the handball in the wall of the Toronto player on Vassilev’s free kick… Each instance made it to MLS replay too with the commentators scratching their heads

I think that is the one thing fans across the MLS can agree on and that is the referees are spotty at best. We Orlando City fans have been screwed by these PRO refs on many occasions over the years.

But then they started being very gay, supporting so much gayness and bringing gay pride flags to games making players wear gay emblems on their jerseys even when it want June. Then I stopped being a fan of mls for making gay jerseys during June. But then the goat 🐐 Messi came to Miami. He changed the team and they are playing amazing now. Even when Messi is on the bench. He changed the team and now I’m a fan. Hopefully he changed the league enough bringing viewers from all over the world that MLS gets their head out of their rear end enough that they stop that gay pride 💩 on MLS teams.

As someone who doesn’t typically watch soccer but following the league because of Messi, the handball rule is very dumb. Only handballs should be called when the arm is clearly out of place and obviously being used to stop a shot or chance. Rule needs a change it’s a bouncing rubber ball eventually it’s going to hit someone’s hand

I will never forget when Joe Dickerson screwed us over against Austin in 2022. He nearly did it again- there was no evidence that the ball was clearly in or out, and it should not have been overturned. He was even trying to get the play going before VAR could consult him ON THE MOST OBVIOUS HANDBALL EVER!!! Refereeing was abysmal like always, but I’m glad that the ball didn’t lie in extra time 😊

I'm getting a bit tired of the commentators describing every last detail of a goal. It gets excruciating. After watching Match of the Day last night they might say 'that's a fine goal, his second this season' and that would be it.

Tough loss for St. Louis but the hand ball penalty call is something I have never liked about soccer. I will put it in hockey terms. The defenseman made a great play sliding his body in front of a shot so that it does not even reach the goalie. The shot was hit hard in to his body as would a puck in hockey. The shot though went in to his arm with no attempt to stop the ball with his hand as it was a body stop. Since it happened in the large penalty box area a penalty shot is called which is a very high percentge shot. In a hockey game that play would be called a great play by a defenseman like made by a St. Louis Blues hockey player defenseman. How can a soccer player prevent this from happening when a shot is blasted in to the arm of the body?

The deciding factor is if you increase your body's area size. In other words if you extent your arm away from your body. Which it wasn't. His arm was close to his side. And no I'm not American and I'm pretty sure I have decades in watching and playing football on you
