I once went to Bury following Huddersfield Town and we were 4-0 down after 27 minutes, Iwan Roberts pulled a goal back just before half time and we went in 4-1 down, Then early in the second half Phil Starbuck made it 4-2 and then got a second goal in the 88th minute to make it 4-3 Then deep into injury time 90+4 Iwan Roberts scored with a trade mark header to send the away end absolutely crazy If Wednesday get an early goal it will definitely give Peterborough the jitters, you can definitely do it and I am even betting on Wednesday to qualify, See you at Huddersfield Town next season (There Is Only One Neil Warnock)

As a St Albans fan I hate Oxford and not because they beat us, because they only sold half their tickets and only gave us 400 which our season ticket holders sold out on the first day, this meant that half the home end was St Albans fans keeping quiet, terrible support as well didn’t sing and didn’t celebrate when they won really poor

My stepdad used to work at Oxford city, and I was at that game, and funnily enough they are bringing a new stand across the left hand side given to them by a rugby club and they will start building that so they can start to fill higher attendances, so if you don’t believe me, just come back later and by some point it will be built

One of the best days in Oxford City's history yet the celebrations seemed nonexistent. I was at the game, disappointing.

@@ramadamming8498 I atleast expect people to not mundanely chat amongst themselves from the full time whistle to the Trophy presentation, and instead be overly jubilant. Oxford promoted to level 5 for the first time in their history yet it seemed like the fans weren't really fussed. Maybe the massive win paints a different tint on how wild the celebrations can be though what I saw on that day was no passion whatsoever. Even the reaction to the goals was pretty reserved.

@@joeconcertshd3451 I think if you go to other similar finals, of similar size clubs ( as 'the Hoops' average I think around 400 normally ) say in the Southern or Isthmian League ( one level below the National South ) you will find something similar. IF you mean by 'atmosphere' a bunch of 13 plus year olds who get in for free or next to nothing and then chant "wanker" at everything that moves, that is not an atmosphere. IF you mean a standard and often rather dul "pitch invasion" then that neither qualifies really. IF you mean a bunch of pyros and all the other trend to be "ultras" that also not what creates an atmosphere necessarily and most of those people are daft. I went to the semi and final of OCFC and I am not usually local at all in the area but I went to also Didcot's final and Bracknell's semi final. There is not much between any of them, all clubs that usually get around 3-500. Have you been to non league before ? It is usually pretty laid back. Actually some people like that. The Oxford City fans were pretty great I think. They did not chant abuse at the opposition. Their flags have a sense of humour that is severely lacking these days in top level football, as well as their songs had a sense of humour and were different to the usual standard songs you can hear everywhere. They seemed pretty discerning and actual fans with some sense. I'd much prefer that and I think many would, than to just hear a bunch of abuse and kids trying to be "hooligans" - I think the St Albans fans were also pretty laid back and actually had a sense of humour also. I didn't get the comments either from the St Albans manager "it didn't feel like a final" - hmm, maybe just watching football with 3000 people, is not enough for some people ? Oxford City had I think the 2nd or 3rd lowest attendance in the National South - did they expect the Nou Camp ? They went and celebrated with that little vociferous groups behind the goal did they not ? The players were leading the song. What non league finals have you been to that were 'good' for you ?

@@ramadamming8498 I've been to alot of finals with Bromley FC, especially the FA Trophy Final last year which we beat Wrexham. Atmosphere was sizzling, full time emotions were completely through the roof, unexplainable, as well as some other finals I've groundhopped to. Those kind of atmospheres also exist in league games in non league. St Albans manager was correct. Finals in my eyes should be special. Deep down we all know really what 'special' means.
@ramadamming8498
@ramadamming8498 Жыл бұрын
@@joeconcertshd3451 No, what does "special" mean ? No idea what you are referring to. To be in a neutral ground ? Or what ? Chanting 'wanker' at everyone with pyros ? Not sure what you mean it is pretty ambiguous and non specific ! Bromley, are a rather bigger stadium and attendance, so you mean that ? It is not hard to work out that if Oxford's average is around 400 then there were 2700, minus the away fans, say, 2150, who were tourists, like you and me -so is it surprising ? On that topic, some of the best fans I see have a sense of humour and don't chant abuse like children trying to be 'ultras' - Slough Town, I would include in that, as well as Oxford.
