Swedish football federation isn’t to thank for this… well Brommapojkarna Yes. (where kulusevski and bergwall also where Schooled and developed) and also gyokeres local home club. But this is not the common.Our system is miles from your academy system. We have two academy’s that work decent - Brommapojkarna and AIK. And Hammarby on the raise. Generally we have a larger focus on small clubs and organizations (which I think is good and is very important though they also don’t get all the support they need. Far from. But Gyokeres is a talent and has a very clean and strong mindset, he’s not an over thinker. And good support from family who have helped him picked the right choices for him. They have trust the process and not forced anything. Picked strategic clubs for the status he has been in. For Swedes to be late bloomers is pretty common which I think is cool. Isak Hien is a good example of that. But to say the least, Gyökeres is first and foremost very fkn good. Smart and a physical monster, strong but still elastic and fast. Tactical, dribbling skills and great finisher. So yea.. Sweden have a lot to work on but we are very grateful for individual talents like Gyökeres Bergwall Alexander Isak and so on.

He is a great example of not giving up if you don't burst onto the scene right away. Lots of younger players think that if they don't make it big like yamin lamal, then they are screwd. Post young guys should look at this guy. He was a huge prospect, but it didnt work the first time. He was playing in the championship 2 years ago. Look at him now. Great example once again.
