Berhalter is responsible for two things. a) The plan. b) The game management. Neither was wrong. Berhalter can't be held responsible for players failure to execute, and when the players failed to execute he made changes that led to a win. Does Pulisic miss his chances because of Berhalter? Does Weah his chances because of Berhalter? Does McKinnie sky his shot because of Berhalter? No, that happens because we have a shortage of reliable finishers. We had like 18 shots in regulation and 80% of the possession and only two shots on frame. That's a plan working but players unable to execute. Fortunately Jamaica was as unlucky as they were lucky, and Wright was clinical when he got his chances.

@@aokijannick7616 His plan was to maintain possession, draw defenders out of position, use good movement to find space between the lines, use a 4-2-3-1 with wings able to invert, be patient and wait for your opportunities and use verticality to attack the wings in order to play back passes into the box. Aside for the one Balogun headed over the bar, there were relatively few crosses this game. a) What part of that plan didn't actually work? Every step of the plan was executed, and the USA got opportunities. The only thing that didn't happen is people didn't put the ball on frame. b) Just exactly how would you plan to attack a low block? c) How is this unexpected? Who do we have in Europe who is a reliable finisher right now in the big 5 leagues? Mckennie with zero goals? Pulisic who can only score on counters if he's faster than the defender? Balogun who is so off his game right now he lost his position as the starting #9? We have a team that lacks size, lacks athleticism, and for the most part lacks clinical finishing. People made fun of Berhalter for before the game saying that they had to take this game seriously. Clearly the team wasn't.

Speaking as an FA coach Jamaica should have capitalized on their 1st goal, they defended well , but if you are defending that much ,it means you are not attacking enough, they missed 2 open goals which would have put them in the final, the strickers need to keep composure in big games like that. They can only learn from losing a game like that.But there overall performance was good😊

Merecida victoria de USA, le pegó un baila a Jamaica en los 96 minutos y no lograba el justo gol de empate y se dio en el final. A veces podes jugar re bien y el balón no entra... y otras veces se logra de milagro y luego en prórroga liquidás. PD: 2:49 si allí hay VAR, y si se daba el gol se lo anularían por offside del que hace el pase para gol.
