Yeah, young Zych had a great game. He's one of our home grown players that you have to have in the UCL squad. Plus Unai Emery isn't impressed with Robin Olsen & Joe Gauci so it's highly unlikely that he will send Zych out on loan in January. He's in our Premier League squad & is now training with Emi Martinez on a regular basis

@@timedwards5734 Not seen any sign he's not impressed with Gauci, personally, he's just in the #2 slot that happens to be behind one of the best goalkeepers in the world. And Olsen's coming off a head injury tbf, but will still probably move on next summer so having Zych around as a greater part of the main squad makes a lot of sense. Wouldn't be opposed to seeing him get more regular football on loan later in the season though, similar to what Sinisalo (pre-transfer) and Marschall have had in recent seasons.

Look end of the day it’s a tinpot competition and while we had a fantastic day out at Wembley last year no one’s bothered about winning it again. Saying that it’s really poor that a near full strength side can’t beat an academy team whose players will have college or uni tomorrow. Our home form overall is incredibly worrying. We need to use this international break wisely now and hopefully come back stronger

The result is not important, but what was concerning is that we were back to the usual passing sideways and getting nowhere. Mathewson was impressive and looked to push forward ,I hope he gets a chance of being in the starting lineup. I'm not impressed with collins, he is too casual and does not pose a threat on goal,a player of his ability should be doing much better. Dempsey was class again. Credit to their keeper, he was outstanding.

No. He's one of our 4 Academy players that we have to have in our UCL squad. He's also now getting in our Premier League squad. Emery isn't impressed with Robin Olsen and Joe Gauci. Zych is now training daily alongside Emi.Martinez. Can't see him being loaned out in January for all those reasons

we have playes 7 home games in all competitions this season and won 1. that is just not good enough. we need to win our home games. focus now on burton who we mustnt underestimate ( like we did with exeter and shrewsbury) and then we need a good away performance against birmingham who are beatable.

That was our U-18 team, not our U-21's. A lot of those lads only joined the Academy in the summer. That's like getting knocked out of the FA Cup 3rd round by a team from the National League North!!!
