This is great, do you have separate catalogs then? Or where does the full catalog with the wedding get stored? Do you create one catalog per wedding? Or have them together for the entire year?

We normally have 1 catalog per year!

I love this! When you export the folder structure, details, ceremony, etc out of Lightroom have you found a way to export the folder structure in the jpg folder? Or do you have to reset up each folder the LR folder?

I suggest creating all the folders ahead of time in your template folder! Then when you go to export your JPGS you just click on the CEREMONY folder in LR, select all and export them into the CEREMONY High Res JPG folder!

Do you suggest connecting both WD hard drives to the desktop via separate cords or just one cord connected to the desktop and daisy chaining the hard drives? Also, great video! I had a system but this helps me save up space with the RAWs I don't use!

If you send your photos to an external person to edit or cull how would you make this workflow work to do that? Would you send them all the RAW files or would you add all the files to a LR catalog with smart previews and just have them cull in LR to avoid sending that many large files over the web?

We use smart previews with out editor!

Yes a Synology or Drobo are great options but are much more of an investment! Maybe Ty can make a separate video about the advantages of using a Synology vs this system.

Am I right in thinking Windows has a maximum number of characters for a full file path, like 240? Anyone ever gone so deep into a folder structure to the extent Windows says file name too long?

Haha, I honestly don't know the answer to that question! I've never had an issue but I haven't shot any photography wedding since switching to Windows!
