In the wild the snake has to hunt down it's prey by scent, so it might have wandered off a fair bit from where the snake was. It doesn't matter, though, the snake will find it anyway. In the captive environment the prey has nowhere to go so will just be twitching by the time the snake decides it's ready to eat. It will die inside the snake's stomach though.

I be checking out DesertWolfArmory too. I hate that they started censoring more because he would crack me up when he has a naughty one that wants to bite the hand that feeds it. That mouse acted like the rattlesnake gave it a snack at first how it reacted😂
