Wow... this is the first Gregorian reaction I have ever seen. I have loved this band for around 20 years now after I discovered them when I was in high school. They are a german band, formed in 1991 who makes covers of all types of music into their own Gregorian chant inspired type of music. I remember seeing them in Sweden, at least 15 years ago when they performed in a large church in the old town (the medieval part) of Stockholm. I couldn't get anyone to come with me so I went on my own, just to hear them. A few of my favourite songs are: Child in Time - Deep Purple cover The Gift - Their own song I think (could be wrong but I can't find an original artist for this one) Engel - Rammstein cover Unbeliever - Can't find an original for this one either

The beauty of Gregorian Chants...is that they don't need the music behind them to make them sound amazing. I have been a big fan of Gregorian Chants, since I heard them at Winchester. It reaches something inside you. Peace out.

Gregorian has been a guilty pleasure of mine for years. Listen to/watch a full show of theirs, they cover a wide range of artists and mix in original compositions as well. They display an appreciation and understanding of all genres and confidently make each piece their own. I was exposed to traditional gregorian chanting in middle school, it's an old and effective technique. Gregorian do a nice job of blending the traditional style with modern techniques to create a truly unique sound.

If you like this cover, you must hear Gregorian's version of Cry Softly. It was Gregorian who connected me to Nightwish. I love them both ❤

The lighting effect was very good. Reminded me of anti-aircraft searchlights, though. One of the most surprising guitarists I knew was a CofE chaplain! He could perfectly cover Santana, Pink Floyd and then Metallica in the same sitting! ERA and Enigma do similarly styled numbers. The magic comes from the composition by Tuomas!

I can't help feeling pedantically disturbed at a "gregorian" chant having a whole backing intruments line behind them. D/ I know it's very petty, but damn the ensemble had so much potential and they went and did THAT. XD Still, it's shiny. They did well. I'll sit on my annoyance and go listen to it again on the video's page. Thanks for sharing! \m/

Great reaction. If you want some more Gregorian you should try hells bells (AC DC cover) from the same concert.

Gregorian style of chanting was the predominant chanting technique in Western Christendom worship for centuries, peaking its hights in the Middle Ages. Its a pity, that it has been effectively replaced by more modern, secular style of singing in a Catholic Worship.
